Kayla Sklar graduated from The Edit Center in New York, where she studied with award-winning editors Geoffrey Richman (of Oscar-nominated films like Murderball, Sicko, The Cove) and Betsy Kagen (From Nowhere, All This Panic). She currently is assisting Hannah Vanderlan (HBO's Going Clear, Emmy winner for Best Documentary) and Ron Dulin (Women Who Kill) in teaching the next generation of film editors.
Kayla now takes on projects ranging from documentaries to narrative films, web series to artist interviews, and everything in between.
She currently lives and works in Brooklyn. Though she may not have the obligatory cat, she makes up for that with a lively litter of roommates.
